being tall

Mood: foolishly annoyed

So yes, I'm very very tall. Why this is such a novelty for everyone, I don't entirely understand. I don't play any more basketball than the next guy, but thanks for asking.....are all short people jockeys?

I don't know why inane tall comments/jokes/etc are annoying me so much lately; I used to take them all very much in stride. It just seems so inane. A friend of mine gave some good advice, though; he says that the next time someone looks up and says "how's the weather up there", I should spit on 'em and say "looks like rain" :)

In other news, my ex-girlfriend (and still best friend) went on a date last night and actually had a good time apparently, which I am very very happy about. I havent met the guy, but apparently he's pretty cool.

I'm getting much more into DeviantArt than I ever have before, too...this is a good thing. I'm making some forays into the forums, checking out more and more artwork, making new friends, picking up bits & pieces of inspiration, and just generally having a good time (and I'm fortunate enough to have a job that I can visit DA occasionally during the day from, which is nice).

Hey, your photomanips are some good stuff - the puppet with the puppet is my favorite. I was thinking that some Seattle deviants should meet up sometime and shoot the shit - you in?

You're very welcome! I read something you posted in a forum I think, made me take a peek at your profile out of curiousity....after seeing some excellent artwork and reading your user info I couldn't help +watching!

You have a woman's legs, m'lord! I wager those legs have never been swept clean off by a falling sail, and cast into the sea before your very eyes.... :nana:

Why the BRR? You said you were warm and fuzzy! ::shuffles around room, trying to find a heat source::.

Question: How bad are the winters in Seattle? Do you get a lot of snow - like, enough to make driving bad?

In general, winters here are really mild....temps rarely get anywhere near freezing, and it almost never snows. Just a ton of rain, and I happen to love the rain so it works out well :)

This year, however, has proved an exception already....we got about 4-5 inches of snow yesterday, which caused everyone to shit a collective brick...people here tend to freak out driving-wise whenever it snows even a little (understandably, I suppose....theres a lot of very steep hills in town, it can be pretty treacherous when its icy). I ended up taking the day off from work yesterday and sleeping in, spent some quality time with the cat and played in the snow all day.

Hmm... no snow.. tons of rain.. and cats.. :sprint:

I'm off to get a U-Haul!
